About the product
- 5,000 mAh power bank. Enough for roughly one full charge of a typical phone.
- Three ways to charge. USB-C, solar panel or hand crank. USB-C cable included.
- FM radio for public warnings. In Sweden, Important Public Announcements (VMA) go out on Sveriges Radio P4 on FM, even when the mobile network is down. AM and WB are on the same dial.
- SOS button. One press gives an alarm sound and a flashing light, so you can be heard and seen.
- Torch and reading light. LED, no loose batteries.
- 330 grams. 15.7 × 7.4 × 5.3 cm. Small enough to keep out in the hallway.
When the power goes and the mobile network falls silent, you have radio, light and charging in one hand. Our guide explains how to choose a crank radio.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Can it charge my phone?
Yes. The 5,000 mAh battery holds roughly one full charge of a typical phone through the USB output. Think of it as emergency power for a call, a message or getting your headlamp lit again, not as a way to keep your phone full all week.
How long does a minute of cranking last?
Usually a few minutes of radio, and much longer with just the light. The crank is the backup that means the radio never runs completely dry. Charge it fully with USB-C before you pack it, so you start with a full battery rather than your arm.
Which radio bands does it have?
FM (87.5 to 108 MHz) is the band that matters in the Nordics. In Sweden, that's where Sveriges Radio, local stations and Important Public Announcements (VMA) are broadcast, even when the internet and mobile network are down. The dial also has AM and WB, but they aren't broadcast in the Nordics.
Does it work when the mobile network is down?
Yes. FM goes out to everyone at once and needs no internet, mobile network or subscription. That's the whole point: the radio is the channel that stays open when the others close.
What's the SOS button for?
One press gives a loud alarm sound and a flashing light, so you can be heard and seen when you need to be found. Switch it off once someone has noticed you, so the battery lasts for light and radio.
How do I keep it ready?
Charge it fully with USB-C, store it in the Energy & Light capsule and charge it again when the clocks change, twice a year. It's the same rhythm as the rest of the system.
Is it included in Kapsel Core?
Yes. It sits in the Energy & Light capsule in Kapsel Core, one per system bag. You can also buy the radio on its own.
