We select for the scenario, not the spec sheet
Every component is tested against real disruptions - not lab conditions. Power cuts. Water issues. Cold hands. Low light.
Every decision we make answers one question: will this work when nothing else does?
It's about how well you can act when it does. That belief shapes everything - how we select, how we test, how we pack, how we document. Every choice is made with your worst day in mind, so that when it arrives, there's no need to think. Only act.
Every component is tested against real disruptions - not lab conditions. Power cuts. Water issues. Cold hands. Low light.
Anyone can sell you something that works once. We choose components that perform after 7 days of use, stress, and uncertainty.
Labeled capsules. Logical grouping. Fixed positions. Every item is where you'd expect it to be - even in the dark.
No jargon. No 50-page manuals. Clear steps written for when your hands are cold and your mind is elsewhere.
THE SYSTEM BAG
We designed the bag from scratch. And we partnered with a manufacturer that already supplies Volvo and the Swedish Armed Forces.
1000D Cordura® nylon. PU-coated for water resistance. UTX hardware. The same materials, the same facility, the same quality standards that Nordic industry and defense organizations rely on.
Every component is expert-curated. Tested together. Chosen to work as a system.
Most emergency kits are a random mix of items that happened to be cheap and available. Kapsel is different. Each of the 50+ components earned its place through field testing, expert review, and one simple question: will this work when nothing else does?
BORÅS, SWEDEN
Hand-packed. Human-checked. Ready to rely on.
Every Kapsel is assembled in Sweden under ISO 9001 certified quality management. Not automated. Not outsourced. Every item is inspected before it goes into a capsule. Every capsule is verified before it goes into a bag.
Labeled. Documented. Immediate.
BUILT TO LAST
Kapsel isn't disposable. When consumables expire - water purification tablets, water filters, body warmers, certain first aid items - we offer refills that match exactly.
The bag, capsules, and durable components are built to last for years. Buy once. Maintain over time.
The Kapsel bag is made from 1000D Cordura® Nylon 6.6, a professional-grade fabric used in military and industrial applications. It features a PU coating with 1500mm water column rating for water resistance, and UTX buckles and zippers for durability.
Water-resistant, not fully waterproof. With a 1,500 mm water column rating and PU coating, it handles rain, splashes and damp conditions effectively. For full submersion protection, store contents in the included water-resistant pockets.
1000D Cordura® is extremely durable - it's the same material used in military gear, motorcycle luggage, and professional equipment. The "1000D" refers to denier, a measure of fiber thickness. This fabric resists abrasion, tearing, and scuffing far better than standard nylon or polyester.
Kapsel uses UTX hardware for all buckles, clips, and zippers. UTX is a trusted brand in the outdoor and tactical industry, known for reliable performance in demanding conditions.
The Kapsel bag and capsules are manufactured by an ISO 9001 and SA8000 certified facility that also supplies Volvo and the Swedish Armed Forces. All systems are assembled and quality-checked in Borås, Sweden.
ISO 9001 is an international standard for quality management systems. It means our manufacturing partner follows rigorous, documented processes for consistent quality - the same standard required by automotive and defense industries.
SA8000 is a social accountability certification ensuring ethical working conditions, fair wages, and worker rights. Our manufacturing partner holds this certification, meaning your Kapsel is made under verified ethical conditions.

Yes. Every Kapsel is hand-assembled and
individually quality-checked in Borås, Sweden. Each component is inspected before packing, each capsule is verified, and the complete system undergoes a final check before shipping.
Kapsel was designed in Stockholm, Sweden, with input from emergency preparedness professionals. Every component was selected based on real-world scenario testing - not laboratory conditions - focusing on what works during actual disruptions like power outages, water problems, and heating failures.
We chose 1000D Cordura® and UTX hardware because they're proven in professional and military applications. Rather than developing new materials, we adopted standards already trusted by Nordic defence organisations and global brands like Volvo.
Yes. On the documentation page you can find certificates and safety data for the regulated components in the system. If you need something specific, you can contact us and we will point you to the right document.
They can. When we change something important, we update our internal specifications, our packing instructions and the public documentation so it matches the product you receive.
No single product can meet every standard in every category. We focus on the regulations that apply to each component type and select suppliers that can prove they follow them.
Product pages show what Kapsel does for you. This page shows how it is made. Together they give you both the use case and the mechanics behind it.
