Kapsel LED Headlamp is a rechargeable headlamp for light close to you in power cuts, outdoors and in everyday life. You wear it on the elastic headband. Adjust the band so the lamp sits firmly without pressing, and choose the brightness and beam before you set off. It's included so you have light you can rely on, with your hands free. You can see and be seen, and at the same time carry a child, open doors, cook, give first aid or read instructions.

Power cut at home: Walk through a dark hallway, on the stairs, to the fuse box or while you pack, without juggling a torch.

With children or full arms: You can carry a child, shopping bags or luggage and still see where you're stepping.

Outdoors and when you have to leave home: Find your way, read signs and be visible to others when it's dark outside.

In everyday life: Take it on the evening dog walk, in the car, to the storage room or for small repairs. Charge it afterwards and put it back in your Kapsel.

How to use it

Try the headlamp once when things are calm, so the button and modes are in your hands when it gets properly dark.

Put the headband round your head, or over a hat, and tighten it so the lamp sits firmly but doesn't press.
Set the beam and brightness before you start walking, so you can see the ground and what's ahead without adjusting all the time.
Press the button to switch the lamp on. Press again to change mode, until the light is enough without wasting battery.
Charge with the supplied USB cable and a 5 V USB charger or a power bank. Charge on a flat, non-flammable surface, and under supervision. Unplug when the lamp is fully charged.
Never shine the light straight into anyone's eyes, whether your own, a child's or an animal's. Choose a lower brightness up close and when you turn towards others.
Switch the lamp off after use, wipe it down if it's damp and put it back in the Energy & Light capsule. Charge it at least every three months when it isn't in use.

Kapsel Core has one headlamp per system bag. If several people in the household need to move around in the dark at the same time, an extra lamp can be useful. If you keep a system in the car or at the cabin, it needs its own headlamp.

Why a headlamp and not a torch?

With a headlamp you have both hands free. You notice it when you're searching the fuse box, cooking or helping someone in the dark. It sits in the Energy & Light capsule.

How do I charge it?

By USB. During a longer power cut, you charge it from the power bank in the same capsule.

What does the zoom do?

You adjust the beam from wide to narrow. A wide beam lights up a whole room. A narrow beam reaches further down a corridor or along a path.

How do I keep it ready?

Charge it fully, store it in the capsule and charge it again when the clocks change, twice a year. Then it's ready for seven days without power.
