This is a heat reflective emergency sleeping bag made from thin metal coated plastic foil. It reflects a large part of your body heat back towards you and gives a wind breaking layer on the outside. Used correctly it helps reduce heat loss when you are cold, wet, shocked or have to stay still for a long time. In many real disruptions people do not freeze because they are deep in the forest. How to use it

The sleeping bag is simple by design. You open the pack, unfold the foil and lie the person you want inside to keep warm. The shiny side reflects heat. The outside acts as a wind and splash barrier. In your Kapsel it lives in Personal & Shelter. Always flat packed. Always in the same spot.

Open the pouch carefully so you do not tear the foil
Unfold the sleeping bag fully and turn the reflective side towards the body
Cover from shoulders down and tuck edges under the body if possible
Cover head and neck. Use hood, hat or scarf on top if you have it
Monitor the person. Add clothes or another blanket on top if needed

When you will need it

Use the emergency sleeping bag when someone is cold, wet, in shock or needs to stay still in a cool place for more than a short moment. It is useful in homes without heating, in cars that have broken down, during evacuations, and as extra protection over or under other layers. It belongs early in your plan for keeping someone warm and stable until the situation is under control.
