How to pack and use your Kapsel 30L Bag
Decide who you are preparing for
Choose how many people the bag should cover and for how long. Use the Kapsel system guide to select the right capsules and refills.
Pack Capsules first
Slide your 9 L capsules into the main compartment in an order that makes sense for you. For example Energy & Light at the top for fast access during a power outage.
Add personal items
Use the interior pockets and document sleeve for medication, copies of IDs, contact lists, spare keys and other essentials unique to your household.
Place the bag where you can reach it
Store the 30L Bag in the hallway, by the front door or next to the bedroom. The rule is simple. If you cannot reach it in a few seconds it is too far away.
Check it on a fixed schedule
Once or twice a year, open the bag, check expiry dates and refill what is missing. Use the printed and digital guides to keep track of items and refills.

No. The 30L Bag is the core carrier in the Kapsel system. You add 9 L capsules and personal items based on your household. This makes it simple to scale up or refill over time.
How many people can one 30L Bag cover
One 30L Bag can carry a complete 72 hour kit for one to four people, depending on what you pack inside. For a larger family you can add more Personal and Shelter capsules or add a second bag.
Is the bag waterproof
The shell is made from PU coated Nylon 6.6 which is water resistant and protects against rain and splashes. It is not a dry bag. Avoid full submersion and if the bag gets very wet, unpack and dry the contents.
Can I use it as an everyday backpack
Yes. The 30L Bag has a clean exterior and comfortable carry. Many people keep their Kapsel kit packed and still use the bag for short trips. If you do, make sure you always repack your emergency items in the same layout so you know where everything is.
Where should I store the 30L Bag at home
Store the bag in a place that is easy to reach. Typical spots are by the front door, in a hall closet or next to the bedroom. Avoid attics, basements or storage units where you need extra time to reach it.
What if I already have some emergency gear
