Why you pack it yourself

We made a deliberate choice to deliver the Kapsel system unassembled.

You handle every item

Every product passes through your hands. You see it. You recognise it. No surprises during an emergency.

You know where everything is

You pack it. You decide the order. You find the right capsule and the right product - even in the dark.

You understand how it works

Every component has instructions. Go through them now, calmly. Not for the first time under stress.

Before you start

Check that everything is here

Lay out all components and verify you have everything before packing.

Step by step

How to pack

Energy & Light

Remove all products from their packaging first. Keep only what goes into the capsule.

1
Adjust the dividers

Move the large divider to the centre. Keep one small divider on each side. Three small dividers are left over and can be stored at the top of the capsule.

2
Gas stove at the bottom

Place the gas canister inside the stove. Remove the burner and put it in the fabric pouch with the stove.

3
Crank radio, power bank and headlamp

The crank radio goes above of the gas stove, in its own divider. Power bank and headlamp beside it. All three should be loose, without packaging.

4
Cables in the lid

Charging cables for the power bank and crank radio go in the zip pocket in the capsule lid.

5
Close and check

The zip should close without resistance. Everything flat and stable.

Add the sticker - Energy & Light on the Molle Tags in stainless steel.

Water & Health

Hydration, first aid, and hygiene

1
Adjust dividers

Move the two small dividers from the top to the bottom to create compartments for the first aid contents.

2
First aid at the bottom

Open the first aid kit and unpack it. All items should lie loose in the bottom dividers, not in their original packaging. Use the dividers to organise the different products. Scissors, tweezers and safety pins can be stored in the zip pockets in the lid.

3
Filter straw along the top

Lay the filter straw horizontally along the full width of the top of the capsule.

4
Soap sheets and menstrual cup on top

Place soap sheets and menstrual cup on top of the filter straw. Fill the gaps.

5
Close and check

The zip should close without resistance. Nothing should be compressed.

Label with the Water & Health sticker on the metal tags.

Personal & Shelter

Protection, warmth, and personal needs

1
Adjust dividers

Move two small dividers if you want to store the filter bottle inside the capsule. Otherwise keep the dividers as they are.

2
Emergency sleeping bag and medical organiser first

Place the emergency sleeping bag and pill organiser at the bottom. Fill the pill organiser with any personal medications before packing it.

3
Multi cutlery, towel and filter bottle

The microfibre towel is already rolled in its sleeve. Place it beside the pill organiser. Multi cutlery goes along the side. The filter bottle can be stored inside the capsule or hung on the outside of the bag for quicker access.

4
Face mask on top

Place the face mask on top of the capsule so it is quickly accessible.

Keep it in its original package.

5
Space for personal items

The rest of the space is for things only you need. Base layers, extra socks and anything that might be needed quickly. Pack for the season and the need.

6
Close and check

The zip should close without resistance. The filter bottle should sit securely on the side without being compressed.

Label with the Personal & Shelter sticker on the Molle Tags in stainless steel.
