Why is a gas stove in the kit?

It gives you controlled heat when the electricity is gone, so you can boil water, heat simple meals and prepare hot drinks during longer outages or when you are away from a full kitchen.

How do you use it safely?

Use it outdoors only, in a well ventilated area on a stable, level, non-combustible surface. With the valve closed, screw an EN 417 butane cartridge (type 200) into the connector by hand, check the connection for leaks with soapy water, then open the valve slowly and light the burner. Never leave it unattended while it is burning.

What fuel does it use?

It runs on EN 417 threaded butane cartridges (type 200) using direct pressure butane, with a nominal output up to about 1.6 kW. Always remove the cartridge for transport and storage, and store cartridges cool, dry and upright.

Which capsule does it belong to and how do I keep it ready?

It lives in the Energy & Light capsule together with your power bank, headlamp and crank radio. Test it once outdoors in calm conditions so lighting it feels familiar, then let it cool, remove the cartridge and pack it back so it is ready for real use.
